Wildberries has reduced the registration fee for new sellers by six times. Now you can start a business on the marketplace by paying only 5,000 rubles, which will be refunded with advertising bonuses. This is part of a strategy to attract small businesses before the New Year season.

Wildberries, Russia's largest marketplace, has taken a significant step to attract new entrepreneurs to its business ecosystem. Since September 2025, the company has reduced the amount of the initial payment required by sellers to start work on the site by six times. Now, instead of thirty thousand rubles, the registration fee is only five thousand.

According to an official statement from the press service of the combined Wildberries & Russ company, this license fee is not an irrevocable entrance fee. The deposited amount is returned to the seller, but not in the form of cash, but in the form of bonuses, which are credited to the account of his advertising cabinet inside the system. The marketplace partner can then use these funds to promote their own product range, thereby increasing the visibility of their products and potentially accelerating sales growth at the start.

This rule change applies not only to Russian entrepreneurs. For sellers from the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States, such as Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan, the payment amount has also been revised downwards. The amount will be converted into the national currency of the country of business registration at the current exchange rate at the time of signing the contract, which makes the start more predictable and accessible to international partners.

Market experts view this decision as a strategic move aimed at intensively expanding the pool of sellers ahead of the peak sales season, which traditionally begins in the fourth quarter and captures the New Year holidays. Reducing the financial barrier allows small businesses and individual entrepreneurs, who previously might have hesitated due to the high initial payment, to start working on the largest trading platform with minimal risks.

In parallel with the reduction of the entry fee, Wildberries announced other support measures for new and existing partners. So, in the summer of 2025, the company carried out a large-scale expansion of its logistics capacities. The area of the warehouse complexes has been increased by fifty percent, which has significantly increased storage volumes and accelerated order processing.

In addition, a special promotion is in effect for sellers until the end of the year, which mitigates another expense item. The six key warehouses of the marketplace, located at strategically important points, provide completely free storage of inventory. In any other warehouse from Wildberries' extensive logistics network, new partners receive sixty days of free storage. This measure gives the business a precious reserve of time in order to "disperse" sales without the pressure of warehouse costs, which usually begin to accrue immediately after acceptance of the goods.

The combination of these initiatives – reduction of registration fees, refund of funds in the form of an advertising budget, expansion of warehouse capacity and temporary storage holidays – creates a powerful incentive for the rapid launch and development of young commercial projects. The company emphasizes that the purpose of these measures is to create the most comfortable conditions for the start and to help new sellers successfully prepare for the period of the highest customer activity of the year. This is a long-term investment in the growth of the ecosystem, where an increase in the number of competitive sellers ultimately leads to an expansion of the assortment for buyers and an overall strengthening of the marketplace's position in the market.
