Yandex Market has introduced the "original" label for appliances and gadgets. The new system confirms the authenticity of goods, reduces the number of fakes and strengthens customer confidence in the marketplace.

Yandex Market has expanded the use of the "original" label to new product categories — household appliances, gadgets, electronics, and a number of other segments. This badge is issued only to sellers who provide official delivery documents and serves as a confirmation of the authenticity of the product. For buyers, this is a guarantee of protection against counterfeiting, and for businesses, it is a way to stand out from competitors.

The function covers key areas ranging from electronics and automotive products to food and household goods. Buyers can filter out offers with a tag through a special filter, and products with such a tag receive priority in the search results. For sellers, this means an additional incentive to build customer trust.

The implementation practice has shown the effectiveness of the solution: after the mark appeared in the segments of clothing and accessories, the number of complaints about counterfeit goods decreased by 37%, and in the category of household goods — by 25%. Although the total percentage of requests is relatively low (about 0.09% of all orders), reducing even the minimum percentage is important for the reputation of the site. The higher the trust in the service, the more sales grow in premium and sensitive market segments.

The label itself is part of a multi-level quality control system. Already at the seller's registration stage, the assortment and supply contracts are checked, and then algorithms are activated to detect abnormally low prices and other suspicious signs. If necessary, the service conducts control purchases and requests expertise from manufacturers or copyright holders.

If it turns out that the product marked "original" turned out to be a fake, the money is returned to the buyer, and the seller faces sanctions up to and including blocking. This mechanism ensures that the mark works not only as a promise, but also as a real protection against unscrupulous sellers. The expansion of this program strengthens user trust and creates a safer environment for online shopping.
