Logistics in 2025 continues to change rapidly, adapting to the new realities and challenges of the time. The increasing complexity of routes, the growing demand for insurance and the accelerated introduction of digital technologies are becoming key factors in the transformation of the industry. Daria Spiridonova, an expert at the Zunami insurance support platform, spoke about the most striking trends shaping the logistics landscape.

According to the Central Bank, since the end of 2021, cargo transportation by road has increased by more than 21%, while air and sea transportation have shown a decrease. Road transportation has not only become the leader in terms of volume, but also in the number of insured transactions. According to Zunami statistics, more than 70% of insured transportation is accounted for by car insurance.

The first trend is simplification of interaction. Today, logistics is becoming more complex, and routes are unpredictable. In an environment of uncertainty, businesses strive to simplify processes. This translates into workflow automation, centralized control over supplies, and integration of digital solutions directly into marketplace interfaces. For example, sellers on online platforms can already arrange insurance of goods and delivery dates without the participation of managers and paper documents.

The second trend is increased attention to risks. Difficult routes increase the likelihood of failures and losses. Insurance is now considered not as a formality, but as an important business protection tool. This has become especially important for small and medium-sized businesses that have not previously used such services due to their complexity and cost. With the development of digital platforms, entrepreneurs have gained access to simple and understandable insurance solutions.

The third trend is digitalization as the norm. According to HSE forecasts, the need for digital tools in logistics will grow by more than 20% annually. Special attention is paid to artificial intelligence, blockchain technologies, IoT and automation. In particular, Hyperledger technology ensures the safety and confidentiality of business operations within supply chains. This is especially important for participants working with large volumes and multiple partners.

The fourth trend is the rejection of paper. Most companies have already switched to electronic document management. The Zunami platform processes more than 200 operations per second, which allows for instant document transfer between market participants. 12 leading Russian insurance companies are already connected to the platform, which allows users to choose the most favorable conditions.

All these trends suggest that logistics is no longer just transportation. This is already an ecosystem in which businesses need not only to deliver goods, but also to protect their interests, optimize processes and implement technologies that increase the stability of the entire supply chain.
