TRANSIT is strengthening its position in temperature logistics by introducing new solutions for the transportation of perishable goods and expanding the geography of routes in the Far East and Asia.

TRANSIT, a company specializing in temperature-controlled container transportation, presented a set of solutions aimed at improving the reliability and efficiency of temperature logistics. The main focus is on maintaining a continuous refrigeration chain, an essential element in the transportation of perishable goods, where the slightest temperature deviation can lead to loss of product quality and financial risks.

Evgeny Shikaev, head of the company's branch in St. Petersburg, said at the Global Fisheries Forum & Seafood Expo Russia conference that the company has a whole system of measures in place to ensure the stable operation of its refrigerated fleet. These include the purchase of new—generation containers equipped with telemetry for online monitoring, the creation of spare parts depots along routes, and round-the-clock technical support. Special attention is paid to the training of specialists and mobile repair teams capable of responding promptly in case of malfunctions on the way.

In addition, similar approaches are being implemented in railway logistics. TRANSIT is implementing a system of service stations and refrigerated sections in dry trains, as well as investing in the training of mechanics and operators. All this is aimed at increasing the sustainability of supplies and reducing risks during the transportation of sensitive goods.

Shikaev also noted the changes in the geography of transportation. Previously, fish imports from China and Vietnam went mainly through the ports of St. Petersburg, but recently the logistical focus has shifted to the Far East - the ports of Vladivostok and Ussuriysk. This is due to the reduction in the number of sea lines capable of serving the former routes. This reorientation allowed the company to expand its presence in the Far East and include island regions such as Sakhalin and Kamchatka in the route network.

For manufacturers of perishable products, TRANSIT offers comprehensive logistics solutions covering the key destinations of Moscow – Vladivostok, Moscow – Khabarovsk, as well as the delivery of goods to Magadan, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The new infrastructure ensures uninterrupted transportation and minimizes delays at all stages of the supply chain.

The company is also actively developing its international business. Priority routes include Russia – China, Vietnam, South Korea, Thailand and India. Regular shipments of meat products in refrigerated containers from St. Petersburg to Qingdao and from Novorossiysk to Shanghai, as well as fish products in the opposite direction, have already been launched. The average travel time for accelerated trains on the Moscow – Vladivostok route is only 14-15 days, while departures are carried out two to three times a month.

An important element of the infrastructure has become the upgraded terminal in Ussuriysk, which is capable of handling the entire range of cargo, including temperature. According to the company's representatives, the development of this segment remains a strategic direction, reflecting the growing demand for high-quality transportation of perishable products inside and outside the country.
