Wildberries & Russ (RVB) has commissioned the first stage of the logistics complex in Vladivostok. As the head of the company, Tatiana Kim, stated at the Eastern Economic Forum, the acceptance of supplies from partners will begin here in September. This is RVB's first large facility in the Far East, and after reaching full capacity, it will be able to process more than 80 million units, including bulky orders.
At the start of operation, the area of the complex is 77 thousand square meters with a capacity of up to 38 million goods. After completion of the second stage, the area will increase to 161 thousand square meters. It is planned to install modern equipment in the logistics center, including sorting lines for bulky goods and conveyors for automated processing. According to the project, there will also be robotic systems for moving pallets and containers inside the complex.
According to the press service, the launch of the center will provide employment for about 6 thousand residents of Primorye. The total investment in the project amounted to almost 9.8 billion rubles. The new facility should strengthen Vladivostok's role as a strategic logistics hub for trade with Asian countries and accelerate the delivery of goods throughout Russia.
The flagship of the complex will be a multi-level sorting unit, which will be able to process up to 1.5 million units of products per day. This will significantly increase the speed of order processing and the quality of service. The company's management notes that the center will become a base for the long-term development of regional logistics and will contribute to the integration of the Far East into global supply chains.
Currently, four more large logistics facilities with a total area of about 600,000 square meters are being implemented in the Far Eastern Federal District — in Chita, Blagoveshchensk, Ulan-Ude and Vladivostok itself. In addition, the company has signed agreements on the construction of new centers in Yakutia, Buryatia and Sakhalin. These projects will strengthen the region's logistics network and create additional business opportunities.
