Serious traffic jams have formed on the Russian-Kazakh border due to new requirements for the transportation of cargo. According to market participants, we are talking about thousands of trucks traveling from China to Russia. This situation has led to supply delays and disruption of logistics chains.
Rocket Cargo, a company operating in the field of international transportation, confirms the presence of difficulties at border crossings. The reason was increased inspections and the requirement of a complete package of documents for shipments, including those that previously passed under a simplified scheme. Previously, such shipments were often processed according to gray schemes without full customs control, which allowed carriers to save time and money. However, now the rules of the game have changed.
The new measures have affected both cargo delivery and those carriers who operate according to the law — all are forced to stand in the same queues. As a result, not only suppliers suffer, but also the final recipients of goods, especially those who are tied to trade with China.
The main flow of Chinese products, as a rule, crosses the border through Kazakhstan, which explains the scale of the congestion. Experts do not yet have complete information on the reason for the increased control. According to preliminary estimates, we may be talking about combating illegal schemes or strengthening customs regulation.
At the same time, experts suggest alternative routes that may partially relieve the current channels. Among these are destinations through the border crossings Pogranichny — Suifenhe, Poltavka — Dunin and others located in Primorye and the Far East. These routes require different logistics, but they are able to maintain the rhythm of supplies in conditions of instability in the traditional direction.
The situation demonstrates how important transparent logistics and adaptability are in modern conditions. Companies working with China should be prepared to respond promptly and review supply routes.
