COMETAL, a company specializing in digital solutions for mechanical engineering and metalworking, has made a technological breakthrough by introducing the Atrax logistics automation system. Thanks to this step, it was possible not only to optimize operational activities, but also to significantly reduce dependence on manual labor in logistics.
Prior to the integration of Atrax, COMETAL was faced with the task of building a complete transportation scheme from scratch: from motor transport and combined cargo to multimodal routes and, in the future, container transportation by rail. The main objective was to create a user-friendly, scalable system that minimizes human involvement and is suitable for further integration with the company's internal platform.
The launch took place in record time — the basic setup took only one day. Immediately after the launch, the logistics team began using the extended functionality of the system: tender mechanisms for selecting carriers, built-in analytics and automatic documentation generation. A process that used to take up to five minutes is now completed in a matter of seconds.
Dmitry Dvoryanov, Head of logistics, emphasizes that Atrax has reduced labor costs by at least half. Despite the rapid increase in traffic volumes — almost doubling annually — the three-person logistics department successfully copes with the workload without having to increase staff.
Today, the entire range of shipments is handled through the system: from standard trucks to non-standard oversized cargo. COMETAL is already working on the next stage — the complete digitalization of the logistics cycle: from submitting an application to signing closing documents. The platform will be integrated with EDI, electronic invoices and API exchange, and interaction with carriers, document management and calculations will become fully automated.
This approach allows not only to ensure high efficiency, but also to offer customers a modern, transparent and technological service.
