A large—scale national digital project in the field of transportation is being formed in Russia - the GosLog state transport and logistics platform. The document defining its functional principles and architecture has been published by the Ministry of Transport on the portal of draft regulations. The system is being created as a single digital standard of interaction for all participants of the logistics market and government agencies working with cargo transportation.
The platform will play the role of a digital coordination center and a "single window" for transport companies, freight forwarders, warehouse operators, regulatory authorities and the government. The main task is to completely eliminate the use of paper document management and create a single digital cargo tracking cycle from departure to the final destination.
GOSLOG's architecture includes several subsystems: a digital transportation passport, a route assessment system, a module for maintaining digital profiles of participants, a document verification service, logistics monitoring tools, and an integration mechanism with state registries. The logic of the platform's operation involves automatic data verification, reducing the number of paper requests and promptly providing information to all participants in the transportation process.
According to the project developers, the introduction of electronic transport documents will significantly reduce costs compared to paper turnover. For example, if a paper invoice costs about 700 rubles, a digital document costs about 15 rubles. In addition, GosLog is planned to be integrated with the ERA-GLONASS system, which will ensure constant monitoring of delivery chains and allow for rapid response to emergency situations.
The resolution on the launch of the platform is due to enter into force on March 1, 2026. In another six months, starting in September 2026, all market participants will be required to issue waybills only electronically through GosLog. Thus, the project becomes a key tool for the digital modernization of the country's logistics infrastructure and a step towards creating a fully transparent and technologically advanced cargo transportation management system.
