Starting from July 1, 2026, cryptocurrency transactions in Russia will be legalized through the Central Bank's registry. VAT on operations involving the sale of cryptocurrencies has been canceled since April 1. Bitcoin is fixed as a working tool for settlements with foreign partners under an experimental legal regime. Russia is officially one of the top 2 mining powers in the world, and is now building a legal infrastructure for using the mined assets in foreign trade.
