FESCO launches export from Kurgan to China: grain travels for 20 days
For the first time, FESCO sent container trains from Kurgan station to China: two trains with grain crops left for Tianjin via Kazakhstan and the Altynkol–Khorgos crossing. The stated average transit time is 20 days, and the volume is 248 TEU when trains are formed from 62 forty-foot containers. We are looking at why the new departure point is important for exporters, how useful grain containerization is and what opportunities it opens up for businesses in the regions.
