Russia is preparing a new tool for export development — the partnership standard, which should simplify the entry of companies into priority foreign markets. For businesses, this is an attempt to transfer export support from the format of general measures to a system of country-specific application instructions.

The Ministry of Economic Development has proposed to ease the tax regime for socially important goods that Russians order on foreign online platforms. The initiative concerns VAT and may significantly affect prices, cross-border trade and the rules of operation of marketplaces with imported products.
