KAMAZ has launched its own online transportation management platform. We look at how this solution changes the approach to logistics and reduces operational risks.

KAMAZ has completed the launch of the CargoOperator digital platform, radically changing its approach to logistics management. The new online service, created in partnership with the WeJET team, made it possible to combine senders and carriers on one digital platform, simplifying approval processes, reducing costs and making routes transparent and manageable.

Previously, the logistics of KAMAZ, like many industrial giants, relied on traditional methods: dispatcher calls, e-mail, Excel document management and many contractors. This model slowed down order fulfillment, increased risks, and prevented operations from scaling up. The solution came in the form of an online platform with tenders, filters, automatic fare calculation and support for multimodal routes.

CargoOperator works through the sender's and carrier's personal accounts. One places an order — specifies the parameters of the cargo and the route, the second participates in the bidding or offers a price directly. The platform's algorithms instantly calculate the cost, taking into account the exchange rate and the type of delivery. The user can choose the best option — in terms of speed, price, or balance. The interface has been adapted to mobile devices so that drivers can work right on the go.

The system is based on the Bitrix Framework and is integrated with the API of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation to track the current exchange rate. The platform has a built-in chat for agreeing on details, carrier ratings, order history, and open reviews are available, which builds trust within the ecosystem.

Thanks to the modular launch, the team managed to test the system with live users before the official release. This allowed us to quickly refine the weaknesses, optimize the UX and reduce the number of errors.

The results of the implementation are impressive: more than 250 companies have registered on the platform in the first months. The time to select a carrier has been significantly reduced, and transaction documents are stored in a single space and are accessible to both parties. The load on operators has decreased — now they connect only in non-standard situations. In the future, CargoOperator plans to integrate with 1C and other corporate systems.

The platform is becoming not just a KAMAZ solution, but a possible model for the entire industry. This is an example of how a large business can become a digital leader — not by replacing staff, but by using smart automation and taking into account the real needs of the market.
