Ozon has opened a large fulfillment center in Kuzbass and tied it to the task of speeding up delivery across the region and unloading long-range logistics shoulders. According to the company, the first stage of the facility occupied 40 thousand square meters by floor: the warehouse can store more than 17 million goods and process about 500 thousand orders daily.
For the Kemerovo region, this is the infrastructure “next to the buyer”: when the goods are closer to the pick-up points, delivery times decrease, the load on mainline transportation decreases and the cost of transportation to hubs in other regions decreases. For local sellers, the effect is expressed in the speed of shipment and a reduction in the cost of logistics at the start of the chain.
A special emphasis was placed on the tax side. The governor of Kuzbass, Ilya Seredyuk, linked the launch of the center with the registration of the company's division in the region.:
"The company has fulfilled it, accordingly, tax deductions will go to the regional budget."
Ozon provides a rapid increase in power. The report states that in June 2026 the area is planned to be expanded to almost 65 thousand square meters, and in the future the total area should exceed 100 thousand square meters.
Investments in the technological support and IT infrastructure of the facility are estimated at more than 5 billion rubles.
The company explains the project by demand: Alexander Startsev, Chief Operating officer of Ozon production, announced a multiple increase in orders and a growing customer base in the region in early 2026.
This is an important signal for the market: Siberia for marketplaces is moving from a “delivery zone from afar” to a “warehouse presence zone”, and this is changing the competition in terms of terms and service.
