Kazakhstan has approved investment agreements for four pharmaceutical projects: total investments are estimated at 173 billion tenge, and the localization plan includes 356 names of medicines, including socially significant ones. Production facilities will be located in Almaty, Almaty and Turkestan regions, and about 675 new jobs are expected. The projects should reduce the dependence of the market on imports and strengthen the sustainability of drug supplies.
