The Ozon marketplace is launching a logistics service for online stores that allows orders to be delivered through its own infrastructure without a sales fee.

The Ozon marketplace has announced the launch of a new logistics service called Ozon Logistics. Now sellers who have their own online stores and products hosted on Ozon will be able to use the marketplace infrastructure to deliver orders placed directly on their website.

The service is aimed at companies that conduct multi-channel sales: through a marketplace, retail and their own website. Thanks to integration with Ozon logistics, sellers get access to a wide geography of delivery — orders can be delivered to pick-up points, post offices and through a courier service covering almost the entire territory of Russia. At the same time, the marketplace will not charge a commission for sales made outside its site.

Roman Ivenin, head of logistics products at Ozon, explained that the new service will make it possible to speed up delivery by placing goods in the marketplace's warehouses. It will also help to increase the turnover of goods through a unified accounting and storage system. The key advantage will be that users will be able to receive an order closer to home, without being limited to the logistics of a separate store.

Sellers who have goods placed both in Ozon warehouses and in their own warehouses will be able to use the service. However, logistics will only be available for products that are simultaneously presented both on the marketplace and in the seller's online store. To connect, you will need to set up data transfer between the platforms, and the technical documentation is already available in the Ozon knowledge base for sellers.

At the first stage, the project is being tested with a limited number of partners. In the future, it is planned to expand the service to all interested sellers. Such an initiative can significantly simplify the work of online retailers and make delivery faster and more convenient for customers.

The launch of Ozon Logistics reflects the trend towards combining sales channels into a single infrastructure and meets the needs of businesses for flexible solutions that allow them to scale operations without additional costs for organizing their own logistics.
