New refund rules on marketplaces: what every customer should know now
The Wildberries marketplace has announced a reduction in commissions for small sellers and is preparing a tariff review starting on October 31. The changes are aimed at stimulating sales during the high season.

On the eve of the peak online sales season, the Wildberries platform announced a change in its tariff policy aimed at supporting small entrepreneurs. Starting from October 29, the company will reduce the amount of commissions for its services for sellers with low turnover. This is reported by the marketplace's press service.

The reduction in rates will affect sellers operating under the FBW (fulfillment by Wildberries) and FBS (fulfillment by seller) models. As stated, up to 80% of small business representatives who cooperate with the site will be able to take advantage of the offer. The new fees will vary depending on the product category, and their reduction can reach up to 7 percentage points.

The company's representatives emphasize that the main goal of the initiative is to stimulate sales growth among entrepreneurs with limited operations, especially at a time when demand is traditionally increasing. This should help strengthen the position of small businesses in an environment of high competition and accelerated growth of marketplaces.

However, the changes will also affect the rest of the platform's participants. From October 31, a revised tariff plan will be implemented for all sellers using FBW and FBS schemes. As specified on the WB Partners portal, the tariff update will be ambiguous: for some products, commissions will increase, for others they will decrease, and some will remain unchanged.

Users will be able to find all relevant information about the new tariffs in their personal accounts in the corresponding Tariffs section. Thus, Wildberries strives to adapt the terms of cooperation to market realities, while at the same time offering support to the most vulnerable ecosystem participants.

The initiative could be an important step towards increasing transparency and loyalty on the part of sellers. Small businesses get the opportunity to scale effectively during the high season without critically increasing costs. And the marketplace itself is an additional incentive to increase the assortment and turnover during the key period.
