The deadline, which seemed far away, suddenly approached by two months. Ozon previously asked sellers to upload certification documents for all products by October 1, even in positions where a certificate is not legally required. The new message from the site changes the practice: starting from July 27, undocumented goods will gradually begin to be hidden from the showcase. The sellers have only a few days left.

Ozon has shifted the actual deadline for hiding goods without quality-proof documents. Previously, the site offered sellers to upload certificates and declarations of conformity for all goods by October 1, 2026. Now, according to a new message in personal accounts, starting from July 27, 2026, cards without the necessary documents will gradually begin to be hidden from the site.

The site's requirement is broader than required by law. According to the current rules, mandatory quality documents are not needed for the entire product range — some products are not subject to mandatory certification. But Ozon, according to industry sources, actually requests documents even for such positions: either a certificate or a rejection letter confirming that certification is not required.

The formal justification is clear: goods for which documents are required by law cannot really be sold without confirmation of compliance — this is a requirement of the EAEU technical regulations. But the campaign to collect documents from Ozon is broader than the formal requirements, and this is what causes the main criticism of sellers in the comments to the news.

The date change is not the first time the timing has changed in this story. Initially, sellers were promised until October 1 for all preparations: time to sort out the Rosaccreditation registry, reload the missing certificates, and issue rejection letters where applicable. Now this process needs to be completed in a matter of days, not months.

Sellers who do not have quality documents uploaded for the entire range should go to the "Products and prices" → "Quality Certificates" section and check the status of each card today. Where a certificate is not objectively required by law, it is wise to prepare and attach a rejection letter in advance — this reduces the risk of the card being automatically hidden by the site's algorithm. Shipments preparing for shipment at the end of July should be checked first: hiding the card in the midst of preparing the delivery means disrupted sales.
