A Moscow court has banned the dissemination of information about the sale of devices that lower the fare for heavy trucks on federal highways.

A Moscow court has declared illegal and prohibited the dissemination of information about the sale of equipment that is used to reduce tolls for heavy trucks on federal highways. This was reported in the press service of the prosecutor's office of the capital. Now the sites that distributed such ads are blocked.

The Prosecutor's Office found that a number of Internet resources contained information about devices that either underestimate the cost of heavy trucks or completely avoid paying for damage to roads. It was about equipment interfering with the system of accounting for traffic and load on the road network of vehicles weighing more than 12 tons.

According to the agency, a detailed description of the principle of operation of such devices, the method of their installation and an indication that they help hide the real parameters of vehicles were available on the websites. Such schemes allow you to circumvent the requirements of the law and reduce the fees allocated for the maintenance and repair of road infrastructure.

The Prosecutor's Office stressed that the use of such devices is a violation of the law and entails administrative responsibility. The dissemination of information about ways to conceal the actual impact of heavy trucks on federal roads creates conditions for the commission of offenses, which became the basis for going to court.

By a court decision, all information about the sale of “equipment for circumventing the board” was declared prohibited for placement in Russia. Electronic resources offering such devices have already been blocked. The supervisory authority stated that work on detecting such violations will continue, since the damage caused by the illegal use of such technologies harms the road fund and endangers road safety.
