The Russian-Chinese Chamber for the Promotion of Trade in Machine, Technical and Innovative Products will hold an online conference "China and Southeast Asia: New Opportunities for International Business Cooperation" on November 12-13. The first day starts at 10:00 Moscow time. You can connect from any city, applications are accepted in advance, and the organizer sends the terms of participation upon request.
The program is designed for companies that are already working with China or are just eyeing Asian markets. The participants will figure out where to look for suppliers and buyers in the region, how to negotiate taking into account the local business culture, and what formats of cooperation are currently working. A separate section is devoted to joint projects in manufacturing, technology, and services. The organizers promise to support the theory with cases of companies that have already entered these markets.
The interest of Russian business in Southeast Asia is growing following the work with China. Many importers started with Chinese factories, and today some orders are being transferred to Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand or Indonesia in order to reduce dependence on one supplier and find other price terms. The EAEU has had a free trade agreement with Vietnam since 2016, under which reduced or zero duties are applied to most of the commodity items.
The experience of working with China is not fully transferred to neighboring markets. The requirements for documents and the pace of negotiations in each country are different, as are the expectations from the partner. A mistake on the first contact is often worth months of correspondence or disrupted delivery, so talking to practitioners before the trip and the first prepayment saves both time and budget.
The conference is suitable for importers and exporters, manufacturing companies in search of sales markets or technology partners, as well as heads of departments of foreign economic activity, procurement and business development.
You can leave an application for participation on the event page on the D2 website or on the organizer's website. import-china.expors.ru , by phone +7 (800) 700-40-84.
