From October 1, marketplaces will start blocking cards without certificates.
Mandatory labeling for smartphones, laptops, other electronic products and confectionery products will come into force in Russia on May 1. Three days before the start. Market participants are required to apply "Fair Sign" codes and transmit information to the system. Those who do not have time risk a ban on retail sales.

Starting from May 1, a new stage of expansion of the mandatory labeling system begins in Russia. Three categories of goods fell under the requirements: radio—electronic products - smartphones, laptops, lamps, sockets and other devices from the government list; confectionery and sweets; fat and oil products and edible vegetable oils.

The requirements for each category vary slightly, but the logic is the same: apply a means of identification to the product and transfer the information to the Honest Mark system.

A strict condition has been introduced for fat and oil products: starting from May 1, retail sales are prohibited if there is no labeling information in the system. That is, if there is no code, there is no sale, even if the product is physically on the shelf.

For those who received the goods before April 30 inclusive, there is a transition period for paying for the labeling codes. For self—application - within 30 days, but no later than the date of commissioning. When applied through a service provider - within 365 calendar days.

For importers of electronics from China, which accounts for the bulk of smartphone and laptop shipments to the Russian market, this means embedding labeling in the supply chain: either in production in China or in a warehouse during import before release into circulation. Companies engaged in parallel import of machinery must ensure that each unit of goods has received the code "Fair Sign" before going on sale.

In parallel, on April 28, the EEC Council decided to expand labeling at the level of the entire EAEU — tea, coffee, toys, building materials. Two solutions in one day create a new control loop for the flow of goods, in which each import item must have a digital footprint from the moment of importation to the moment of sale.
