Federal Law No. 140-FZ of 06/07/2025 establishes that from September 1, 2026, the main transportation documents must be issued exclusively in electronic form and sent to the state information system of electronic transportation documents — GIS EPD. Version 3.1.1.15 implements support for this exchange inside the configuration.
In parallel, from September 1, 2026, the MEDO 3.0 format becomes mandatory, approved by Order of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media No. 611/96 dated 06/12/2024. Support for the new interagency electronic document management format is also included in the release.
In addition to regulatory changes, the update expands the functionality of working with documents. Through integration with P7-Office, file version comparison, spell checking, and preview of DOC, DOCX, and ODT formats have become available. Tasks with Enhanced Qualified Electronic Signature (UCEP) are now performed through seamless integration — without switching between interfaces.
For companies that have already started the transition from version 2.1, the ability has been added to accelerate the incomplete migration of data on the side of the old version. This reduces the risk of update projects hanging in the interim.
The release also includes a beta version of the new 1C interface.:Enterprise 8.5". The system libraries have been updated, and a number of errors from previous versions have been fixed.
For companies engaged in cargo transportation or working with transport documents in import and export chains, the transition to EPD and MEDO 3.0 is not an optional improvement, but a legal requirement. There is just over a year left until September 1, 2026: there is enough time for a planned update, but postponing the implementation for the last quarter is risky — integration with GIS EPD will require testing and, probably, finalizing internal processes for approving transportation documents.
