The Russian Expert certification body subordinate to Roskachestvo has opened a representative office in China so that local manufacturers can go through the conformity assessment procedure right on their territory, the press service of Roskachestvo told Vedomosti.
Shenzhen Haokangxin Life Technology has been appointed the official representative of the Russian Expert in China. Its tasks include coordinating cooperation with local producers interested in exporting to Russia and the EAEU countries.
Previously, in order to confirm compliance with Russian and international standards, Chinese companies had to contact intermediaries — some were engaged only in commodity inspection, others helped Russian exporters enter the Chinese market, but did not solve the opposite problem. The local representative office closes this gap: now the company goes through all stages of certification with the assistance of the on-site office and receives systematic control of production processes according to national standards of the Russian Federation without leaving the country.
Roskachestvo emphasized the practical importance of such a certificate: its availability affects participation in public procurement and is a prerequisite for working with large Russian corporate customers. In other words, we are not talking about a formal paper, but about a real pass to a segment where a supplier is simply not considered without a legitimate document.
For Russian companies purchasing products in China, opening a representative office means a shorter path from a supplier to a product ready for import: fewer intermediaries in the conformity assessment chain, fewer risks of delay and less cost of the procedure itself for the counterparty, which he eventually puts into the price. Russian importers should check with their Chinese partners whether they are aware of the new certification channel, and when choosing a new supplier in China, take into account the availability of local certification as a factor speeding up the transaction.
