Ethiopian Airlines Cargo has placed its facilities on the CargoAi digital booking platform. More than 30,000 freight forwarders in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia can now book airline flights in real time with up-to-date rates visible. For the participants of foreign economic activity working with the African direction, this expands the tools for the operational selection of routes and tariffs.

Integration with CargoMART, the main portal of the CargoAi platform, gives forwarders access to electronic booking of Ethiopian Cargo flights with real—time rates. In addition to direct access through the portal, the carrier's capacity will be automatically displayed in the transport Management Systems (TMS) connected to the CargoAi infrastructure. The carrier also gets the opportunity to use the interline capabilities of the platform to organize transportation on flights of partner airlines.

The geographical coverage includes Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. It is in these regions that the bulk of the more than 30,000 forwarders who have gained access to Ethiopian Cargo services through the new channel are concentrated.

Connecting to CargoAi is already the second step of Ethiopian Cargo towards digitalization of sales in 2025. In March, the airline announced its affiliation with WebCargo by Freightos, a digital booking and payment platform. Two consecutive connections to independent aggregators mean that the carrier consistently builds a multi-channel distribution model for cargo capacity.

For Russian importers and exporters using African routes, the expansion of Ethiopian Cargo's digital distribution practically means the ability to compare rates and book slots through familiar TMS systems without direct negotiations with the airline. Ethiopian Airlines has historically had a strong position in cargo transportation between Africa and Asia, making its capacity in demand for transit through the hub in Addis Ababa.
