Both marketplaces have limited the range of household pyrotechnics of hazard classes 1-3 — firecrackers, sparklers, firecrackers, fountains and fireworks. The professional category is not allowed to be implemented.
Wildberries has introduced a separate enhanced moderation for the "Pyrotechnics" category. Viewing cards and making purchases are available only after confirming the age over 18 years. Direct sales through marketplace warehouses are prohibited: sellers are required to store the goods themselves and deliver them to the buyer. Sellers should instruct couriers to issue pyrotechnics exclusively to adults.
Ozon followed a similar path, but fixed the requirements more strictly. Sale and delivery are possible only according to the realFBS model — the seller takes full responsibility for storage, assembly, packaging and delivery to the customer. Placement is allowed only in the category "Fireworks and fireworks"; the publication of the card requires the download of a valid certificate of conformity. The sale is limited to regions without temporary bans. Placing pyrotechnics in other categories qualifies as a violation and carries a fine.
"User safety is our absolute priority, therefore we strictly monitor compliance with all these rules," the Ozon press service said.
The changes followed a meeting of the State Commission for Combating Illicit Trafficking in Industrial Products, where the government identified the problem of storing pyrotechnics at order pick-up points located in residential apartment buildings.
For importers of pyrotechnics, the new requirements mean a direct tightening of the entry conditions for the largest distribution channels. The certificate of conformity is no longer a formality during customs clearance, but a mandatory document for the publication of a product card. Suppliers working under the FBO or mixed logistics scheme are forced to rebuild the warehouse and delivery model according to the FBS and realFBS standards. Sellers who do not have time to update their documents or switch to the required scheme risk blocking the listing during the New Year's Eve season, the period of peak demand for pyrotechnic products.
