Wildberries discovered a technical glitch in the commission calculation for sellers operating under the FBS model: from August 31 to September 6, some sellers did not receive a 3.5–5 percentage point discount for quick shipment of goods. The recalculation is scheduled for September 9, and the refund will be reflected in the financial report for the period from September 7 to September 13.
A technical glitch affected sellers who shipped orders faster than 42 hours, which is exactly what qualifies for a reduced commission rate. The discount of 3.5–5 percentage points was not applied automatically during the specified period, and funds were debited at the base rate without taking into account the speed bonus.
The signals about incorrect write-offs were received through the Association of E-Commerce Market Participants (AUREK). The association passed the information to the marketplace management, after which Wildberries notified the sellers of the error directly through their personal account.
The recalculation will be carried out on September 9th. The refunded amounts will appear in the financial report for the week from September 7 to September 13, marked "Sales correction" in the "Justification for payment" column. You can check the corrected values in four columns of the report: "To be transferred to the seller for the goods sold", "Amount of VAT, %", "Amount of VAT without VAT, % Basic" and "Total VAT without VAT, %".
For sellers using the marketplace as an export or import sales channel, the situation is significant from the point of view of financial control. Automatic commission deductions on large platforms are not always error—free, especially when changing calculation algorithms or updating tariff conditions. Regular reconciliation of financial statements with expected rates makes it possible to identify such discrepancies before the next billing period, rather than after.
Sellers affected by the failure should verify the data in their personal account after September 9 and make sure that the adjustment is reflected in full.
