Ozon Bank's ATM network includes over 1,400 devices in more than 170 cities and towns across the country. To make a payment, the customer selects the "Pay for Order" service on the ATM screen, scans the barcode from the application and deposits the required amount. It is not necessary to be a customer of Ozon Bank for this.
Restrictions on the amount and categories of goods are significant. The maximum cost per order is 15,000 rubles. Digital and foreign goods cannot be paid for in cash. The latter directly affects the import range: sellers who sell foreign-made goods through Ozon under the status of "foreign goods" do not fall within the perimeter of the new option.
The payment procedure is linked to the ATM, not to the pick-up point. PVZ employees and couriers do not accept cash. Payment must be made before the visit to the pick-up point: if the customer arrives for the order without a confirmed payment, the PVZ employee directs him to the nearest ATM. For each completed transaction, Ozon transfers the Ozon commission to the Bank.
Ozon Bank has been under EU and UK sanctions since the summer of 2024. The financial institution reported that the new restrictions do not affect the work: the bank has no foreign assets, it does not conduct operations abroad, serves customers exclusively within Russia and does not use the SWIFT system. In parallel, there was a problem with the mobile application in the summer: after deleting the official Ozon Bank application from Google Play, fraudulent copies appeared in the store, and the bank contacted Google Play with a request to block them.
By the end of 2027, Ozon Bank plans to expand its own ATM network to 3,000 devices. The growth of infrastructure will increase the geography of cash payments, but the restriction on the category of foreign goods remains and the marketplace has not announced its revision. For sellers selling imported products, the new payment method is not yet available.
