Wildberries and Ozon refused to link logistics tariffs to the price of goods. The FAS reported this after reviewing the reports of the sites on the implementation of warnings issued in the spring.
The previous design worked like this: the amount of the delivery fee depended on the cost of the item. Two boxes of the same weight and volume were traveling at different fares — the more expensive one cost the seller more. Sellers of expensive categories received an increased load unrelated to the actual cost of transportation. Now the calculation is based on size and weight, and the cost of delivery becomes predictable at the stage of purchase planning.
The second change affects the showcase. Starting from July 31, Ozon replaces the "Original" mark on the product card with "Brand verified". The FAS previously indicated that the previous wording misleads the buyer: the presence of a die does not mean that the rest of the goods on the site are fakes. The new designation reflects what the site is actually doing — verifying brand validation.
The Agency recognized the actions of both companies in accordance with the antimonopoly legislation. Separately, the FAS reported that the issue of limiting marketplace commissions is being worked out as part of amendments to the law on the platform economy, the one that comes into force on October 1, 2026.
The direction of regulation is read by this bundle. First, the agency closes point structures through warnings, then the commission limits go into the text of the law.
What the seller should do. To rebuild the logistics model for expensive SKUs: where the cost of delivery was considered from the price, the expense part changes, and the selling price can go down without loss of margin. Sellers who had the "Original" label in their cards should take into account the change in wording in advertising creatives and descriptions where it was mentioned.
