Russia has banned the import of sheep and goats from Serbia and North Macedonia due to smallpox. The restrictions turned out to be broader than the name: meat and dairy products, feed, animal raw materials, equipment, and even individual goods for personal use fell under them. Importers with Serbian contracts need to check not only meat.

The law on digital currencies comes into force on September 1. Cryptocurrency becomes property with judicial protection, and the Central Bank begins to maintain registers of crypto exchanges and digital depositories. For participants in foreign economic activity, the main thing is different: the requirement to conduct transactions only through licensed intermediaries will be effective from July 1, 2027, and foreign trade settlements will be removed from it.

The EEC Board has extended two anti-dumping measures on Chinese goods. The duty on aluminum cookware in the amount of 21.89% of the customs value is valid until May 28, 2027 inclusive. The leaf spring measure has been extended for five years, until August 24, 2031. Importers of both groups will not be able to plan deliveries without these rates in the calculation.

Federal supervision of compliance with technical regulations and GOST standards for industrial products begins on September 1. It covers over 300 items of the HS code: from electrical appliances and cables to building mixes, pipes, radiators and methanol-containing liquids. There will be no scheduled inspections, but the suspension of the certificate automatically raises the risk category.
