From October 1, marketplaces will start blocking cards without certificates.
Wildberries sellers receive mass mailings from scammers promising to help them get compensation for burned goods for a percentage of their value. Wildberries has confirmed that there are no additional or secret payment channels. The Association of e-commerce Market Participants classified the scheme as one hundred percent fake and handed over the materials to the marketplace's security service.

Sellers on Wildberries have recorded a wave of fraudulent messages offering assistance in obtaining compensation for goods destroyed in a fire. This was announced by the Association of E-Commerce Market Participants (AUREK). The scheme is based on an imitation of the official process: the attackers claim that the marketplace will allegedly reimburse the average cost of selling the product minus the standard commission.

The mechanics of fraud are described in detail. According to the newsletter, the compensation agreement should be received through the electronic document management system in the period from November 9 to November 16, and payments should be distributed in equal shares by the end of December. For the "service", the authors of the scheme take a percentage of the cost of the product: full prepayment gives a lower rate, payment under the 50/50 scheme — a higher one. If there is no result, they promise to return the prepayment within 5-8 business days — a classic technique to reduce the victim's vigilance.

"We officially declare: this is 100% fake!" — emphasized in AUREK.

Wildberries confirmed the association's position directly: there are no additional or secret ways to receive compensation. The mailing list materials have been sent to the marketplace's security service for verification and action. AUREK urges sellers to ignore such offers.

For sellers selling imported goods, the situation carries a double risk. The loss of goods in the warehouse is already a blow to the working capital invested in procurement, logistics and customs clearance. An attempt to return at least some of it through questionable schemes threatens additional financial losses beyond those already incurred. The only legitimate way is to contact the marketplace directly through official support channels.
