Since May 2025, the number of smart issuance users at Wildberries locations has increased by more than 6 times. The technology allows you to pick up an order without contacting the manager: the buyer scans the QR code from the mobile application through the terminal, and the cell opens automatically.
The format works with orders up to 60 × 40 × 40 cm in size and the cost of each item is up to 50 thousand rubles inclusive. """Beauty"" "Clothing", "Products" and "Stationery" are the most popular categories through smart delivery.
In addition to smart delivery in conventional PVZS, the company is developing a separate format - Smart PVZS: fully automated points without staff, operating around the clock. Customers receive orders through terminals with cells at any time of the day. The percentage of repurchase at such points reaches almost 90%.
Maxim Kim, Director of Delivery Point Development and Automation at RWB, commented on the results:
"The launch of smart technologies is a response to customers' demand for speed and convenience in receiving orders. Today, automated services are no longer something new and are gradually becoming a part of everyday life. The first results show that automated ways of receiving orders are really in demand. Today, there are 17 smart-issued PVZS and 2 Smart PVZS operating in Moscow. By the end of the year, we plan to increase their number to 20 and 10, respectively."
You can choose an automated way to receive an order on the Wildberries website or in the mobile application when placing an order.
For sellers who supply goods through Wildberries, the expansion of automated infrastructure has direct operational consequences. The size limit — 60 × 40 × 40 cm — actually sets the upper limit for goods that the buyer can pick up through a Smart delivery system without operator involvement. Positions beyond these limits will still require a regular staff meeting. Suppliers of bulky products such as furniture, household appliances, and industrial equipment will remain outside the automated distribution loop.
The high percentage of buybacks in deserted locations — about 90% — indicates that buyers who choose this format are less likely to refuse an order on the spot. For importers of consumer goods operating through the marketplace, this potentially reduces the proportion of returns on those SKUs that end up in the automated channel. By the end of 2025, the network of Smart retail outlets in Moscow should grow from 2 to 10 points, and smart retail outlets from 17 to 20.
